" PROCESS IN THE LIFE TO EAGLE DOCUMENTATION"

Crew Advisors, Scoutmaster and Unit Advancement Chairs:

Lorri Rudasill is the new Registrar for South Florida Council. Her phone number is (305) 364-0020 ext. 222, e-mail address: lrudasill@sfcbsa.org

This is the current Eagle Application Process Status as notified, Monday, May 24, by the South Florida Council Advancement Committee:

a) The Eagle project workbooks  no longer have to be taken to the Registrar's office at council.

b) The Eagle Scout application, after a successful meeting with the Eagle Board of Review,    may be faxed to the Registrar, for a faster processing, provided the original is subsequently filed, either in person or by mail.

c) A "computer-issued" work copy of the Eagle Scout application, containing all the information on record at South Florida Council, may be obtained by calling, Faxing or e-mailing the request to Lorri.  This process may take up to one hour and the application may be faxed, e-mailed, or picked-up in person at the South Florida Council office.

d) If, upon receipt of the "computer-issued" work copy of the Eagle Scout application, omissions are noted, you may contact Lorri with your comments and an updated application will be printed.  This process may take up to 24 hours.

e) The Eagle Scout certificates and presentation kits will no longer be held at the South Florida Council office waiting to be picked up by the Units'  leaders.  Upon receipt of the certificates and kits, the Eagle Scouts' families will be notified by phone.  After that, the certificates and presentation kits may be picked up by either a member of the family or an adult member of the unit.  It is just the notification what goes to the families and not the units' leaders.

I strongly suggest that, if you need to visit with Lorri, to discuss any matters related to advancement records and/or Eagle Scout applications, that you call her in advance with your specific request.  At times she may produce documentation on demand but she may serve you better  having the information by the time of your visit, rather than having you waiting at the office.

These changes in the process are effective immediately.  For better information, if you have a specific question that has not been addressed, or need additional information, I suggest that you call Lorri Rudasill directly.  That way you will obtain the "official" answer.
