SEMINOLE DISTRICT

LORETTA NEHILA AWARD OF EXCELLENCE

This Award is designed to promote excellence in the Packs, Troops and Crews of Seminole District. The goal is to promote participation in the following areas:

Training, Advancement and Community Service.

This Award is named for Mrs Loretta Nehila, a former Scouter who supported the Scouting program for over 20 years. Loretta was a member of the District committee, Commissioner staff, program staff, training staff and the Order of the Arrow. She was Woodbadge trained. She was a recipient of both the District Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver.

The attached Pack, Troop and Crew requirements cover a full year from Jan to Dec 2003 and require summertime activities.

This award is dedicated to Loretta’s memory and hard work but mostly to our Scouts, Leaders and to our Units. We are genuinely excited about this award and we are convinced that those who support it will achieve a level of excellence that will insure their Unit strength and success.

To qualify for this award a letter must be submitted stating the qualifications that have been met and turned in by the deadline.
